Leoni & Mastrangelo is an artistic duo founded in 2011 by Francesca Leoni and Davide Mastrangelo.
Their practice operates within contemporary audiovisual arts, combining video art, performance, and experimental cinema.
Their research focuses on the body as a sensitive and political device, exploring identity, memory, and contemporary existence through essential and symbolic visual narratives.
With backgrounds in theatre, film, and visual arts (University of North Carolina Wilmington; Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna), they have developed an intermedial language that moves between performative gesture and cinematic construction.
Their works have been presented internationally across Europe, the United States, South America, and Asia, in festivals and institutions such as Athens Digital Arts Festival, Proyector Video Art Festival, Videoart Yearbook, and IKONO TV.
Their works are also part of video art collections, including the Coleção de Videoarte Alfredo Hertzog and MAMbo, and have received awards such as the Maurizio Cosua Prize (Venice).
